Harris Digital Publishing

Here is a warning to those of you out there who are in search of a "cheap" online detective service. Harris Digital Publishing runs a bunch of websites all similarly named: Net Detective, Net Detective Plus, Advanced Net Detective Plus, etc. They make all sorts of claims that you can find all sorts of information for just $29.95. Don't believe the hype, because that's all it is. Save your money. A lot of the info on their sites is already public domain. You may have to dig for it, but it's there. Really, the only thing you might be paying for is convenience. And to top it all off, their helpdesk website, http://www.harrisdigitalpublishing stinks. Any links provided to help you are broken. Forget trying to find a phone number to talk to a live person. That would be asking too much! When I finally did find a phone number the customer service people treat you like YOU are the problem. Very rude.

Bottom line: You get what you pay for.
