Firestone - Worst Service and Harsh After Service Treatment I have a Honda Civic 98 model, the brake light was going on while driving, So, I took my car to Firestone on 3/16/2006 to fix the problem, the vehicle was inspected and I was told by firestone personnel that the front tires brake pads have worn out and have to be replaced, I said ok to it and they replaced the brake pads with new ones.I was charged a total of $335.34 and was told that I have 6 months warranty on it. Since the time I replaced the brake pads I was hearing noise in my car while making turns, so, I took my car again to firestone on 5/21/2006. They inspected the car and told me that the calipers in the front wheel brake system have locked up and to fix it they gave me a quote for $553.94. I was not satisfied with their reply so I took my car back.The following weekend (5/27/2006) I went to my Honda dealer and inspected the car, they told me that the front wheel brake pads have been replaced with “INCORRECT AFTER MARKET BRAKE PADS” and that’s the reason for the noise, I asked them to replace it with correct ones, it took me $481.12. After replacement with correct brake pads the noise went away, I asked my Honda dealer to mention the reason for the noise in my bill (He mentioned it as “incorrect after market brake pads”). Next day I took all my bills to your Firestone branch, explained the charges I have incurred because of wrong brake pads and requested a refund ($335.34) for my brake pads replacement at Firestone. I was told that a refund cannot be given and you can escalate the matter to whomever you want. I was also treated in a very harsh way by them. I was very much disappointed and disheartened by the treatment. I request you all "PLEASE DONT GO TO FIRESTONE OR YOU WILL BE GOING TO THEM FOREVER".
