Email Discount Network

Email Discount Network I received my telephone bill dated 05/11/2006 and discovered on the bill a $12.95 charge for "04/21 Email Discount Network Setup Fee" plus $1.05 charges in taxes resulting from the $12.95 fee.
I did not sign up for this service, but yet when I called their company to have my information removed these people/this company had my name, my mother's maiden name, etc. I truly have no idea how they were able to do this, but am very concerned about it.
I do not have others on my computer, and I know I did not sign up for this service. I'd be interested to know how this actually happened.
I did a search on-line and found an 800 phone number for these individuals from another complaint filed with your organization. This allowed me to be able to eventually get the charge removed, at least I have a confirmation number saying it has been removed. I have not yet received written notification.
I spoke with an individual named "Gina" who was located somewhere in Florida. She was very pleasant, did not seem at all surprised that I said I didn't sign up for this service, etc. Overall I would say she was pleasant to work with other than the fact that I had extreme difficulty understanding her English, but she worked hard at making it easier for me.
