Travel agency ALANITA TRAVEL, MA

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am writing this e-mail to warn other people who do business with ALANITA

TRAVEL located in Watertown, MA. They absolutely have no business ethics.

Beware of this company. My advise to the people doing business with them, do

not authorize this company for buying tickets. This is what happened to me.

I have brought up this issue with the Massachusetts Consumer Protection

Board and Better Business Bureau. The case is still pending with them. They

will get you to authorize them for credit card transactions. In my case they

authorized another company to charge my company. It is all convoluted. So

watch out. I do not trust this company. They were not even honest. They had

no authorization to charge my credit card for $474. Only after I questioned

them, they came up with the so called story of “accounting error”

1. On January 27th, 2006 I did authorize Alanita Travel for a total of

$4422 including $8 for the shipping charges for the ticket. Here is the

breakdown $1226 for the adults and $981 for the kids.

2. On Jan 30th, 2006 Air India charged my credit card four transactions

totaling $3947 ($1093.50+$1093.50+$880.50+$880.50)

3. On Feb 5th, 2006 Alanita Travel charged my credit card $474.

4. Waited until February 20th, 2006 to get my tickets and questioned the

travel agent about the whole transaction. The price on the tickets issued

by Air India matches the credit card transactions.

5. According to the travel agent this is a “accounting error” which they

are unable to explain.

You can pursue this under Massachusetts General law 93A - check out e Massachusetts Attorney General website for instructions and then send them a copy via certified mail and a copy to the Attorney General's office as well.
