AOL Telemarketing

Originating location of AOL Telemarketing call unknown...

For about the last three weeks, I've come home to find the same number on my caller ID every day -- It comes up as "Unknown Name," with the toll-free number (877) 504-0934. The caller never leaves a message, but it's on my caller ID as many as 6 times a day. Today, I called the number, just to see who it belonged to. If I got a real person, I would tell them to take me off their list and stop calling. Instead, I got an automated voice, welcoming me to AOL. I then hung up. Not more than 3 minutes later, the phone rang again, with the same information on the caller ID. This time, I answered it. As soon as I did, the caller hung up!

I did a Google search of AOL Telemarketing, and found a lot of other people who have been subjected to the same barrage of extremely annoying calls. What good does it do to be on the Do-Not-Call List if this activity is permitted to continue? AOL is now on the bottom of my list of companies I would ever consider doing business with. I'm sure there are many more who would agree, and the only one to blame is AOL -- they have brought it on themselves!
