Circuit City "Cityadvantage Protection Plan"

Circuit City "Cityadvantage Protection Plan" I've purchase the Cityadvantage Protection plan every year since the day I purchased the Sony 27" TV. I felt "safe" knowing I was protected. The TV failed on May 5. Circuit City service was contacted and I was told the earliest I could receive service was on May 17 (12 days from the day of the call). I asked to speak to a supervisor and he initiated an Incident Report (IM#) and he would try to expedite the service date. Nothing was heard back from the supervisor. There was no advance call to set up the appointment. The service technician calls at 0700 to state he will be at my home between 0830 and 1030 to service the TV. Unfortunately, I had already left for work 30 minutes prior to his call. I recalled the supervisor and complained that I received tne notice of the technicians arrival only after returning home from work that afternoon. It was just after 1500 and he checked to see if the technician could return to my home that day. He stated that the technician was all through work for the day already and a new service date would be arranged. The new date was May 27. I complained to the supervisor again about the tardiness of appointment schedule and the lack of sufficient lead time to have someone home when the technician would be arriving. I asked for the address of the corporate office and the name and phone number the CEO could be reached at. Today is May 21 and there has not been one phone call, voice mail or e-mail from the supervisor or his representative. I offer as a scenario for the supervisor to ponder: he has an extended service warranty on his car and his serpentine belt snaps in two. He notifies the service company and he is told he will have to wait at least 12 days before anyone will be in his neighborhood who can repair his car! Then on the 12th day he leaves for work and later that day the repairman calls to notify him that he will be at his address between 90 and 210 minutes from then. When he gets home and hears the message and calls back and is told it will be another 10 days to replace a $60 part. The irony is the supervisor understands this process and accepts his fate calmly-and there are still Unicorns prancing playfully in the forests!
