Drop Box Cheque - Not Credited even after 3 days- J.Shankaran HDFC A/c 0241000011400

Dear Sir,

I have dropped a cheque for Rs. 8269.09 on 29-04-06 (HDFC bank Ch.No:911547dtd 27-04-06 - of Chennai- issued by M/s.Insight Sharebrokers Pvt.Ltd., ) favouring self (J.Shankaran) HDFC SB A/c No: 0241000011400 - of Valasaravakkam Branch (Branch code 024). Though it is already morethan 3 days the amount is not credited. The cheque is also of same bank that too local (Chennai). I do not understand the reason for such delays. Even I do not have any confirmation whether the cheque is held by you for collection or not?

I am really sorry to state that the services are getting worst day by day. I am seriously thinking to close my HDFC bank account and open it with ICICI bank whose services are far better than your bank.

Kindly let me know if the cheque is collected or lost or what is the present position.
