I went to the Home Depot and arranged for carpet to be installed in my home. I picked a date that I would take off work and got the approved day off with my boss. About 2 weeks before, Home Depot called and said they couldn't do it on that day and the next available date would be about 2 months away. I had already paid for a guaranteed 24 hour install. I tried to reason with the store but got no where and the manager told me they had already automatically input me in for an install on a Friday the following month which was not acceptable.

Needless to say, I spent 45 minutes getting a refund. I went to Lowes and within 3 days had my carpet installed. Heres the funny part. I CANCELED and was REFUNDED for the Home depot carpet, YET on the appointed Friday, I received a call on my cell phone from the Home Depot carpet installers who were at my house wanting to know why I wasn't there to let them in. If I hadnt already had carpet and had been a dishonest person, I could have gotten free carpet installed. That shows how disfunctional they really are.
