Empire Today - Laminate flooring

I had laminate flooring installed in my foyer, hallway, and hallway closet

on 25 April 2006. The installers informed me that they were not able to

finish the job because they were short on material. I am missing several

pieces of trim and the pieces that go between the laminate and the carpet.

The installers told me that I would have to call Empire today and setup a

time to have the rest of it installed. I called as soon as they left and

made an appointment for the installers to come back on the 28th. No one

showed up. I called back and they gave me the name and number of a Mr. Cook

in my area that I could talk to.

I called Mr. Cook and got his voice mail so I left a message. Mr. Cook

called back a few days later and left a message saying that he would have

the problem fixed and that the installer that was suppose to come back was

let go. He was under the impression that the installer fixed the problem

before he left. He had not. Mr. Cook also said that I could call him back

with the day and time that I would like to gave the job finished. When I

called back I got his voice mail again. I left a message with the day and

time that would be good for me. Of course I received no response and no one

showed up on the day I requested. I have since called Mr. Cook like 15

times and have never received any call back. I eventually called customer

service on 18 May 2006 and told them my story and was hung up on. Then I

called back and the woman that I spoke to called Mr. Cook herself and

surprise he answered when he realized that It was me he did not sound too

pleased and made up some excuse and asked if he could call me back in 5

minutes. I have called him back twice since then and have gotten his voice

mail both times. It has now been 7 hours since he told me he would call me

back. I guess the only way to get a hold of him is to call customer service.

I had carpeting installed a few years back and had a very good experience

with both Empire Today and the carpet installation That is why I went with

them with the laminate flooring.
