Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless I have two ongoing problems with Verizon Wireless that have been going on for more than a year. They are related. First of all, my Verizon Wireless bill sporadically arrives at my house with less than a week to pay before it is due. This has happened at least 4 times, that I am aware of. Since I sit down to pay bills EVERY Friday, twice (through no fault of my own) my payment has not been returned until after the date due. Since I pay the bills within a week of receiving them, this cannot by any means be considered late. If this was a problem with other bills I would suspect the post office. Hoever, I have not been receiving any of my other bills late (including my home Verizon phone bill). For 30 years, I have ALWAYS paid all of my bills in full and on time. You can check my record. When I have complained to Verizon Wireless, they tell me to pay online so it won't be a problem. I never signed a contract to pay on line, and I should not be forced to. No one from Verizon Wireless has ever tried to solve the problem as to why the bill gets to me too late to pay on time. So I have been attempting to enroll in Verizon's One Bill program for at least 9 months. I figured that might solve the problem. Only one bill, handled by Verizon (not Verizon Wireless)would probably get to me on time. After several unsuccessful attempts on my own to enroll in the One Bill program, I enlisted the aid of Verizon Customer Service. Two times I was even on the phone with them as they satisfied every requirement. Each time they had to de-enrolled me from the wireless online service (how I magically get re-enrolled is a mystery). Both times I had to pay my full wireless bill by credit card on the phone (something I loathe to do) to get to a zero balance. Both times I was assured that satisfied the requirements and that I was enrolled in the One Bill program.... only to find later that I was not. Verizon Wireless needs to get their bills out in a timely manner so that customers can pay them by the due date. If Verizon advertizes a program such as the One Bill program it needs to be possible to sign up for it. Verizon Wireless charges me late payments when their bill gets to me too late to pay on time. This has been $15 so far. The consequence is more in the area of indignation. How dare they accuse me of paying late. I NEVER pay late. I have worked hard at always paying on time.
