Rhino deck by Master Mark

I bought Rhino deck in approximately 2002 because it was being advertised as an almost maintenance free deck. Not long after the installation, we started developing mildew and mold. When I contacted the company they sent me some sodium hypochlorite product to treat the deck. I now notice that on their web site they say maintenance only requires three power washings per year. How does this make their product better than wood which can treated and sealed every few years.
