Chase/Circuit City Card

Chase/Circuit City.

I am a long time Circuit City customer but sad to see Chase handling these accounts and disappointing customers.

I moved in August then in December due to personal matters and ended up missing 2 payment (I had a balance of $29) that I completely forgotten.

I called them and asked why they didn't update my address change and they waived the fee for me. The same thing happened over few remaining cents when I moved for the second time in December. The manager I spoke to then said pay it in full including the late fee and we will remove the negative info with the credit bureaus.

I paid it in full and called back to request the removal of the negative info. The person I spoke to again suggested that I dispute it with Equifax because they can't do anything about it.

I disputed it with Equifax and I received a letter from Chase/Circuit City to verify my identity. I called them to explain what happened and the so called manager was rude and very unprofessional. Cross examining me how many times have I moved and questioning my creditability. I explained that I have a clean and super credit with a score of 771. I have no need to lie over a late history for a balance under $50. That was the only negative info but I refused to let it be. I told her that I had prior approval by the manager and she said she has no clue why he agreed to something that is not their error. This is a failure to update an address.

I will continue to dispute this and when it clears and obviously they lost one customer though they really don't care.
