My complaint is actually against Pergo hardwood Flooring. We just purchased 475 sq feet of Pergo hardwood flooring from Lowes IN Brick NJ. We bought it in February of 2006 and finished installing it In March. the floor was down only 5 weeks and we noticed dents all over the place as well as scratches if we so much as dropped a pen. I contacted pergo to address the dents as well as the scratches, and at first they just totally put me off and said it was not covered. I explained to them the floor is 5 weeks old and not yet even paid for. I was then advised to file a claim at Lowes. That being done an inspector was sent out to my home to examine the floor. He measured to see if the floor was level, he took pictures and left. The report came back saying Yes there is 9 inch dents in localized areas , but the finish is fine , and the warranty doesn't cover dents. Ive had other brands of hardwood floors for over 10 years and have never known a hardwood to dent from furniture or a Television on wheels . My furniture has rubber pads under it and that is denting also! SO buyer beware!!!!!! Pergo hardwood Floors according to Pergo have only been manufactered by them for the last year and a half. Not only are they more expensive then all the other choices out there but the quality is equal to that of a soft Pine!!! Do NOT Waste your money on this floor!
