I recently(March 17, 2006) purchased a television at Sears in Hyannis, MA. The item carries a one month warranty through Sears. The television broke 4-5 weeks after purchasing it. I attempted to return the product on May 5, 2006, and was sent away, with the manager of electronics telling me there was nothing she could do for me, and I had to go through the manufacturer. She allowed me to leave the store clearly disatisfied and with good reason. I cannot believe a company that has been around this long can treat a consumer this way. I will never shop at Sears again! Also, when I wrote in a formal complaint to Sears via their website, I got a standard letter saying that my complaint had been recieved. I have not heard from them since then and that was over a week ago. Melissa Leclair
