Sears Kenmore Elite Calypso washer

The Sears Kenmore Elite (what a joke) Calypso washer is by far the biggest piece of junk I've ever purchased. My husband and I purchased an entire kitchen full of new appliances as well as a washer and dryer from Sears a little over 3 years ago. We've had some minor issues with some other appliances, but our washer takes the cake. I have two children, a husband and a dog, so I do laundry every day. So I wanted one of the best washers out there. Although the Duet had just come out, I really wanted the capacity and liked what they said it would do. But I was a little leery that it was "untested". So eventually, we were talked into the Calypso by the salesperson at Sears. He swore that it was a great model and would last us a long time. Well, in the 3 years we have owned this washer, we've had nothing but problems. The Sears repairman has been here more than 5 times and always says the same thing and always blames me like I have done something wrong that my daughters tiny sock or a color catcher sheet gets out of the lingerie bag and somehow ends up jammed all the way in the machine somewhere. Has no one ever washed baby socks before...ever??? I am the most meticulous washer,ever. I never overload anything and make sure everything is stain treated and that everything tiny goes in a lingerie bag, etc...yet, the same issues keep occurring. We've had the machine flood our laundry / storage room at least 5x, had something get out of the tub and stuck in the machine ast least 5x, had the machine go "off balance" or some other electronic message at least 5x, had the repairman here at least 5x, not to mention that the lint gets trapped under the rim of the tub, where the water comes out and in the little holes in the tub that I assume it uses to drain. And if thats not it, there is so much lint on the dark clothes (and I assume it all, but you just can't see it as much), that it's disgusting. This is the biggest piece of crap I have ever purchased, and I will NEVER buy another Kenmore appliance or any appliance from SEARS, ever again.

We have the same model that is 3 years old and it needs a pump, transmision and clutch for $577.00.

Sears told me after 5 calls to them that there is nothing they can do.

Never will I buy from Sears again. We had a speed queen that lasted atleast 12 years of hard use.

Never again Sears!!!!!!!!!!
