Cingular Wireless Billing Errors

Cingular Wireless Billing Errors

We dialed *646# and received a text message saying how many minutes were used/remaining. It was off by 8 days, which helped me go over my limit.

A week later I called their Rep because the internet said my account was over the limit big time, but I still had minutes remaining.

The Rep admitted they had computer problems, took some of my AIRW minutes to pay for some of my overage, and told me I had anywhere from 25 to 125 bonus minutes remaining that had to be used by the end of the next day because they would have expired.

Long story short my $39.95 bill comes to $241.00, with 337 minutes at .45c per minute. Cingular offers to settle and turn my phone back on if I agree to pay 1/2 of the amount. Under duress I had to agree because that is my business phone. I wanted to pay them for the 337 minutes at .10c but they insist on my paying .45c per minute.

I saw this address for the offices of Cingular, and want to go to the Peoples Court or my local small claims court and force them to only charge me .10c per minute since they admit they had a computer error. Any free advice? Email User
