Travelocity.com / airline ticket problem

Travelocity.com / airline ticket problem Travelocity.com's "guarantee" is a crock. They will NOT do anything to solve a problem.
I purchased round-trip tickets from Las Vegas to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in May 2005. I had confirmation of my flight and this was checked right before my trip.
When I arrived at the ticket counter, the agent told us that Mexicana airlines had cancelled the flight and Travelocity had re-booked our flight - Mexicana from LA to Cabo. Well, they did NOT book a flight from Las Vegas to LA! We tried calling travelocity to fix the problem, but they told us we would have to deal with the airline. We were about to miss our flight so we PURCHASED another ticket ($107) from LAS to LAX. (This happened to several other ladies on our trip - we had all booked the same flight and had to purchase new tickets)
When I came back to the US, I contacted Travelocity. They gave me the run-around and said they were not responsible and told me to call Mexicana. I argued that they WERE responsible and they say so on their website guarantee. I got such a headache arguing with this person who is probably in an outsourcing center in Bombay India who can barely speak English!!! I ended up calling my credit card to dispute the charge and get my money back...which I got immediately.
I wrote a complaint letter to travelocity.com and they responded by basically saying "It wasn't our problem, but we hope this does not stop you from using our services again."
NEVER USE TRAVELOCITY.COM!!! THE ROAMING GNOME IS A CROOK!!! _____ How low will we go? Check out Yahoo! Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Wednesday, 10-May-06 13:34:27 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
