My husband ordered a stackable washer and dryer from Sears in Bellevue,

Tennessee. We wanted this specific feature to free up more space in our

laundry room. The delivery men were to come to the house at 4 PM. They

came at 2:30 and left. I got here before the 4 PM appointment and called

them to see when they could come back. They arrived at 6 PM. I noticed

that they arranged the washer and dryer side by side instead of stacking it

as my husband ordered. I brought this to their attention and they proceeded

to tell me that this washer did not have the right parts to allow them to

stack the set. They said I would need to call a sales representative to

come back and stack them. The parts that were missing were brackets. They

also handed me a bag of parts. What I found out later is that they had

everything there to complete the stacking process that night but for

whatever reason, chose not to do it. My husband set out to get this problem

corrected. Sears told them they would come at 8 am on a day later that

week. He took off from his job and waited for them to arrive. Every time

he would call to check on the status of their arrival they kept delaying it.

Finally my husband had to return to work. They did not show up until 3 PM.

The delivery men lied to me and to their distribution center. They claimed

they could not do the stacking because our laundry room was not set up

properly. It is interesting that the delivery men never mentioned that

information to me when they delivered the washer and dryer. It takes more

room to put them side by side than to stack them! My husband went to Sears

and complained to the manager. Instead of being apologetic about how poorly

the situation was handled, he sided with the delivery men. We were shocked

that they didn't care about customer service or satisfaction. They believed

the lies of the delivery men. I would not recommend Sears. We were very

disappointed in their lack of interest to rectify the situation. Thank you

for allowing me to share my complaint with other consumers.
