Pathetic service of tata indicom broadband service To whom it may concern,
I would like to tell the customer support team and the people in charge that the tata indicom broadband service is a big joke and a very bad blow to the upcoming broadband industry in India, and the only reason for that is a bad customer support and problem redressal.
Because of my experience of tata indicom over the previous months, I would never ever recommend anybody to take the services from tata indicom ever ever again, and that would not only be broadband service, but any kind of service, labeled with tat indicom.
Let me just portray, a few examples due to which I have reached a frustration level, where even after knowing that this mail is going to improve my or anybody's condition for that matter, I am still spending time to write it.
To begin with, out of any 30 day connection, the service is down for an average of 10 days, without any exceptions, the responses received from the customer service is another joke in itself, even though I am assured every time by the executive that the problem would be resolved within 24 hrs, this has never happened in my experience of 11 months, There have been instances that the first ever response from tata engineers has taken up to eleven days, and that too to ask if the problem has been resolved itself or not, when it never did.
Further, anybody foolish enough to take a connection with tata should plan around double the amount of the bill, because that person will be spending that amount on hold with the tata indicom customer line. Every time and anytime of the day or night you call the customer service number the first line you would hear is that " THE ESTIMATED WAIT TIME TO ATTEND TO YOUR CALL IS LESS THAN / OVER TWELVE MINUTES “. Oh and whosoever ever thought after waiting that long, the problem will be tended too is a bigger fool. Because you wait around an equal time to explain the whole situation to a dumb service executive who can't even differentiate a head from a toe.
Atop of that many a times it so happens that after every 25 t 30 mb of data transfer the connections goes dead, you need to diconnect and reconnect again, to continue surfing, ain't that pathetic.
And guess what it doesn't end there, complaints get closed on there own, without the problems being resolved as has happened with me twice, a complaint as old as January, has never been tended to till now, on asking a customer executive of the reasons for that, he tells me that he is totally helpless regarding the same, and I will personally have to go down to their head office to resolve the issue. Fooled again, I go to the head office to find the staff over there even more uncooperative and the ESTIMATED WAIT TIME BEFORE ANYBODY TALKS TO ME IS 50 MINS. And to add that to the frustration I get a response that "Sir I will personally look into the matter and will keep you updated", no response has ever been received for the same.
Hey how about another great achievement of tata people, you request the customer executive for a recharge coupon, the actual wait time 15 days, even after repeated reminders almost every other day. To add to that after 15 days I receive a call somebody telling me to come and collect the recharge coupon from his own premises and gives me an address. The premises are such a marvel to look at, that it is hard to explain. The whole place stinking terribly of piss, stairs broken, location almost as if you are in a village, no signboards, no addresses written, inches of dust and what not, plus another wait time of ten minutes at a place like that.
Also sometimes it so happens that many times consecutively the connection link goes out at 6 in the evening and resumes only at around 8 in the morning, oh and there broadband motto is "stay connected 24/7", thats rediculous when most of the time you get only a 10 hr link out of any given 24 hrs, tata indicom should change its motto to "fleecing customers" Does it have any end, no there is not.
AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON AND ON AND ON. But one might ask that why is it that I am still continuing with the service like an idiot, the reason for that is that I had paid a non-refundable security of 1600 Rs, and even had a small hope that the someday, they may improve on the service but no more no more and never again.

You plan out your schemes in such way that I had to bear you for the past six months,. and now validity has expired and switched to Airtel. My TIB id is himtuna AT vsnl.net For the past six months you have given me enough pain, deducted my money with all hooks and crooks ( had to buy another renewal plans because ,My Computer was shut down but modem remained on. so all the balance flowed. I contacted Customer Care.reply : sorry we cant help, modem was on! you played tricks!) Well there is a long list of my agony with you. Whenever ther is an important work online, I just cant control my anger, because as usual you net service wont work. Regular break down is you trademark,,,just start putting it on your site logo. Once I get money from tuition and i'll develop a webisite and SEO it for " Tataindicombroadband - the worst ISP". Gathering all the stories that TIB users have faced, its not only me ,, but many people at college are facing similiar problems.with your services I am now using airtel , supperb connection. If it rains TIB will not work but with airtel i dont have to worry about it. it has been just 15 days of airtel installation, I can see the great difference b/w you and airtel. Their installation team did their job in a professional way. And yours like a kabadi wala. Dont trust my words, come to my home and i'll tell you why. I have paid same charges for installation still yours is pathetic. Soon after the installation airtel people called me thrice, visited twice to know if i am having any problem. But when i got your installation. just one week after that, my account got blocked because the cheque bounced, i had paid the cash. and the executive paid his cheque. For around 15 days my net wasnt working. I hate you. The worst ISP. And there are many more stories like that, finally the validity has expired. And i am never gonna be your customer again. I hate your services. because you dont understand cutomers' requirements, Just play with your own busines tricks. And one more thing you loot people, force them to do whatever you want. I had a quick power 240 plan with night plane activated( charges Rs.100) But when i asked to renew i just couldnt do that because that plan has been shut down. i am an existing customer, with an active plan then why the hell i am not liable to renew it. just a business trick the same plan with same features is now available at 1000 rupees more. quick power 360 with night plan ( charges Rs.300) man even after paying the 1000 extra i am getting same as QP 240. you are .i dont wanna say it. but i dont care any more with you I am gonna develop a site tag it "dont ever use TIB" I dont seek for a ground breaking reply, because of my earlier contacts with you and mails, i can make out what will happen. Last time i mailed you with proper photographs of how the installation is done at my home,but i got just one copy-paste mail saying the problem will be solved within 24 hours.
