Hitachi 55vf820 from Circuit City DOA

I purchased a "brand new" Hitachi 55vf820 television from Circuit City less than two months ago. Since then it has dropped pixels and now completely stopped working. It won't even turn on. Both Circuit City and Hitachi are telling me to go to the other one for a repair/replacement... In other words Hitachi said go to Circuit City, and Circuit City said go to Hitachi. Both refuse to budge and I am getting screwed. Now I am out over $2,300 and my TV doesn't work... How's that for customer service...
