I had Bekins pack and move my residence in November of 2005, first they tore up the kitchen floor when moving out the refrigerator and broke a teapot before they could finish packing. It took two months to get them to pay for the floor!! And then! The truck broke down, they didn't remove my goods and furniture prior to it's being towed. The couldn't get to it to unpack in time to deliver before I left on a prepaid vacation to Disneyland with my grandkids so I had to sleep in motels, buy new clothes and pay to eat out! With no reimbursement apparently.

I had full cost replacement insurance but no settlement in sight! Some national company huh? My neighbor tells me that AAA is now referring moving companies and guess who is on the list? Someone needs to put Bekins to shame!

I'd like to get the furniture repaired and my expenses reimbursed but the claims manager doesn't reply to phone messages.

They also don't settle claims, do they?

Am I soon on my way to small claims court?
