Black 4 Post Bed / Damaged

Black 4 Post Bed / Damaged

My husband and I purchased a Black 4 Post bed from Mor Furniture in March,

2006 from the 59 Ave & Bell Location in Phoenix, Arizona. Although the bed

came in on time, the foot board and two post where damaged. The description

of damage was nicks, cracks, scratches, holes, missing wood (if it's wood),

missing coating, and one of the poles was cocked and not securely standing

on it's own (in which still isn't). Meaning when you touch the post, it

falls over but not falling off. The foot board and posts looked/looks as if

it was used and/or dropped many times, filled in with some kind of filler,

spray painted over, and the wood was/is splitting in several places.

I caught all this in time before the delivery men left my home and was able

to complain. They told me they where going to make a call into the warehouse

before they left my home and after they loaded up; well they didn't. Infact

they took off before talking to me as they said they where going to and they

never made the call in. Luckily I called the office after an hour gave them

my story and they said it would take them another 4 - 6 weeks to get another

footboard in. After quoting there policy and TV commercial pledge they

meracously found another foot board. The 2nd footboard was delivered and

again damaged. The "new" footboard looked worse than the first one. After

contacting and speaking to Scott who is the Supervisor, he said he would get

back to me once he found another footboard. After 3 days I called Scott and

he said he ordered another footboard and it would take 4 -6 weeks to be

delivered.

The 3rd footboard was brought to my home on the 2nd of June. The foot board

was an absolute joke. I watched the delivery guys take the "new" foot board

out of the package and again it was damaged. The footboard was splitting in

4 different spots with all the same flaws as before. The delivery guy Paul

said this was Quality furniture and it was up to Mor Techs Quality

Standards. He also went on to say that the cracks, holes, dents, scratches,

wood splits, ect., from above was the type of distressed furniture I

purchased and to visit the show room to confirm. I showed Paul my head board

in which is picture perfect and looks nothing like any of the two other

footboards that where brought to my home. Paul was muted dumb and went on

to say a Supervisor will call me.

I have been in contact with Carolina Cardena at corporate who is now

ignoring my emails. I'm not sure what to due other than warn people about

this company and maybe go to the media.

I'm at a great loss.........
