Re: QVC - Movie Camera Hi On May 17, 2006 my girlfriend called me and said I should go online to QVC (its like that home shopping on the TV place) and that they have some great deals on a cameracorder (sp). Well with Fathers day coming up, I thought I would order one for my husband and I did. It was 99.96. I rec'd the camera the next day. I printed out all the paperwork and the add that they had advertising the camera for 99.96 and everything. I thought if I didn't get the camera in time I would wrap up all the paperwork :o) .... So then I thought - hum... and please understand, I have NO idea what these things run, or how to use them or anything. but I thought my daughter would love one for graduation , so I went on and ordered two more. I got an email saying that I would receive these two camera's in two days. The camera's didn't come and I didn't hear anything, so I did that on-line service where you can talk to someone live (which is really cool) anyway the person was really nice , said there was some problem with my credit card...????? I told her that wasn't even possible.... there is a 15,000 credit limit and i maybe owe 700.00, but I gave her another credit card that had the same credit line and owed no money - she said Great - I should have the cameras in a couple days. I printed out our whole conversation where she said all that. Then I go to look at my order and it says CANCELLED????? They had already sent me the approval and stated they were on their way... well again I went on and talked to someone live and basically was they made a mistake and the camera's were more.... I went on the website and about fell out of my chair when i saw they were 899.96. They may have a disclaimer on their page, but it is certainly bad for business to not sell something at a price they advertised.... I have never dealt with QVC - and I won't again. We are hearing from people all over that the same thing happen to them.... I was born and raised here... know a lot of people and have told everyone that what they did wasn't fair and QVC does not go by what they advertise - in fact that few days they very falsely advertised. Then they said "oh here is a 25.00 gift cert to spend with us.... OVER MY DEAD BODY... we have send copies of all to our news stations, attorney general etc etc - it just isn't right to do something like that.... They may not see a huge drop in business, but we are trying to get out word in whatever means available NOT to deal with them... they don't honor what they say. Thank you very much! They also claim they have an open return policy. The first time you return something, they cancel your account. They are thieving money-hungry people at QVC and I will also alert all my friends and family not to do business with them.
