craftsman (sears) lawn tractor defective craftsman (sears) lawn tractor defective after buying a lawn tractor for $1325, i had nothing but trouble. had to wait 7 days for the tech they sent who said it was a defective transmission. worried about the overall quality of this product (pully, belt also defective) i opted to to return. at first they said no problem, no fees. then they changed their mind & are charging me for a "restocking fee" of 15%! i will NEVER buy from sears (or kmart-same owners) again! -frank sparacino __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? IE the transmission? Thanks. --------------- i forget the model since it was a while ago now, but u should be able to get within a few models by the price. I was going to have to wait, etc. for service. i wanted a brand new tractor since this was brand new (what else could be bad on this tractor?) the local Sears actually was arguing with me saying "you overused the tractor". this after their mechanic said otherwise. PLUS, how do u over use a tractor. we back & forth & agreed then said they'd have to charge me shipping etc. if i'm gonna pay shipping for a return, i said just take it back & refund my money, etc. i don't shop at Sears OR KMART (sears owns) anymore. i bought a JOHN DEERE for a couple hundred $ more & she's been sweet, cutting the same grass!
