CACHE CREEK CASINO RESORT

On June 13, 2006 at around 8pm, I hit the 5 cents progressive jackpot slot machine and its credits accumulated over 233 thousands and then, I pressed the cash-out button right away. I went straight to my car, get the cell phone and just about to call my wife to share the excitement. But surprisingly, as I look thoroughly the printed ticket amount of $21.75 only. I realized I was short change. So, I rushed back inside the casino and immediately call one of the slot machine attendant and we went directly towards the machine where I had cash-out the ticket. Surely enough, the machine was flashing 435 credits that was paid-out only and thus, the exact total amount of the ticket I had cash-out (435 x 5 cents = $21.75). Then suddenly, a slot machine supervisor showed-up and introduced himself, as Joe pulled me away from the slot machine and he had me sat-down at the blackjack area nearby the cashier and began asking question; for instance, the time I hit the jackpot and what really happened? I responded without hesitation about the printed ticket I had cash-out, with the amount of $21.75, from the slot machine was way off the total amount I supposed to receive, and therefore to collect the uncollected balance approximately $1165.00. Moreover, He asked me to show the printed ticket of the amount of $21.75. Upon searching entirely all inside my pockets and I just remembered I left the ticket inside my car. I then asked his permission for me to go and get it in the car. But my legitimate request proving to show the evidence was refused or denied by Joe. On the other hand, he had accused me of “false claim” instead. Shortly, there were two-security officer came and acted very rude and disrespectful. One of them threatened to put me in jail in his loud intimidating voice. And then two other security guards came and stood behind me. And the other security officer asked the same questioned over and over why I was “false claiming“. I, off-course, repeatedly responded “no, I am not false claiming “, and that my business was to collect the rest of the money I was entitled for. Few hours gone by when the security officer came with a form and started to ask basic personal information while filling the blanks of the form, after that he handed me a pen, and instructed me to sign at the bottom portion of the form. At first, I insisted because it did not clearly understand the form was all about. But, anyway, I was advised to call the number listed there for further questions or for more information. And then, I got escorted out the building, and even I was followed with the same security personnel at the gas station nearby, and warned me to leave the premises at once and get my gas outside the casino territory.

Being-held at the blackjack area, close to the cashier, in front of the restaurant, for over two hours, I felt harassed, intimidated and humiliated with those staffs. I was so disappointed, frustrated and yet, more confused at the time. By the way, from the beginning, it was a machine error already. An all I wanted was to claim and collect the rest of the money, which I was shortchanged.

Anyway the next morning, I called Cache Creek Casino to get detailed information about the yellow form, which I received. I spoke with Mike, security department, who had informed that I was cited or charge of a “false claim” As a result, I was advised not return to the facility for 90 days until the clearance.

Filing this complaint could have been avoided and even prevented:

Only if Joe, the slot machine attendant, has taken a little extra precaution and having the thought of giving me the benefit of the doubt, providing the facts or evidence of the printed ticket of the amount of $21.75 when asked,

With this acknowledgement, I hope that the company, Cache Creek Casino Resort, receive and get their attention and willfully settle to pay the rest of the balance I am entitled.
