Business: Academy Services

Just received my first phone call from “Academy Services”. Someone by the name of Randy Dickson called my business cell phone. I was on another call and did not answer so he left a message saying he was looking for me, stating my name, which was easy to figure out since it’s on my voice mail. The message was for me to call him immediately regarding an important, urgent matter. When I called the 800 number he left I didn’t enter his extension, I opted for the operator. I’m in the security field, so I like to know something about who is calling and what they want prior to me blindly returning a call. The only information the operator said she was allowed to give was this was a personal financial services company; so I told her I do not speak to companies who will not disclose their business practice, then hung up. I have someone who handles my “financial services” and they were not him. With all the email fraud and identity theft going around, I don’t take chances. So I Googled them and here I am. After reading several entries I’m a bit concerned. I don’t have any dept, I pay cash for everything. If I put something on my credit card (the three I’ve had for the past 15 years), I pay it off. The only dept I have is the mortgage on my home. At this point I’m opting not to call back, since I know I don’t have anything in collections. The number that showed up on my cell is 215-450-3957, I called the number and it goes directly to Randy Dickson… Hummm, I guess all of you who are bothered by their phone calls now can call and bother at least one person at Academy Services. The 800 number he left to return the call way 800-441-6881. Different than others that were posted.
