Tiscali Broadband On Wednesday 19th July 2006, Tiscali "upgraded" me to their broadband LLU system. There was no notice given to me that this was being done. Since then, my download speed has been reduced to 0.93 kbps. Yes, a fraction of what can be achieved on even dial up. I have just come out of hospital and need to work from home whilst recovering. This has not been possible and has created almighty problems as I hold a responsible and authoritative job. I can't communicate without broadband facilities (or for that matter pay any staff because I can't access the internet banking facility) Since then I have made 47 phone calls, the majority to an Indian call centre. They won't address any problem until you go through the 20 questions giving name, address, date of birth, etc. Then they go through the same procedure of tests, which inevitably get the same result as the previous call. I have also set up 3 computers and used 3 different routers because they initially insisted it was a fault with my equipment. Rubbish, it doesn't take Stephen Hawking to work out that the system failed at exactly the same time they transferred me to their new system. I gave up and finally got a London number, speaking to what they call "high level" complaints. After promises of a return call, and none arriving, I called back and was told the engineers were working on it, but at that time (9 days after the problem was reported by me) they did not have any clue about what was the problem.
