This company sells magazines through door to door salesman. On June 3, 2006, two young ladies came to my door asking me to purchase magazines from them. They gave me a short story of their past (not pleasant) and said they were trying to better themselves by getting a honest job. I bought their story and a ordered a magazine. I ordered a 3 year subscription for Family Fun. The amount of the subscription was $30.00 plus a $10.00 Processing Fee. I wrote a check for $40.00. On July 26, I wanted to check on my order because I hadn’t received any confirmation on my order nor had I received a magazine.

I discovered through my bank statement (copy of check) that they had changed the amount on my check from 40.00 to 60.00 dollars. I was livid!!! I contacted my bank and filed a claim. I called the company (Movemeant Sales Inc,) on their 1-800-354-0896 number for order verification and was told that this number was for Job Opportunities only. (even though their website states Order Verification). I was given a number of 219-873-1080 (of course, you have to pay for this call). This operator wasn’t able to help me either. She wanted me to leave my name and information and maybe someone would get back to me. The key word here is Maybe!! She also told me that my order was in the office in California and told me that the company moved around and she wasn’t able to help me. This is crazy!!!!

I have submitted a compliant through the Better Business Bureau in Indiana on this company.

I’ve also contacted the local police department in my area and my local paper. I want my neighbors to be aware of Movemeant Sales, so that there’s no more movement of anyone else’s funds to that company!!!

CONSUMERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!
