Delta Airlines 7/2006

I flew Delta Airlines on 7/20/2006 to Richmond VA. This was a very bad experience.

The flight was supposed to take off at 8:30am, and did not board until 11am.

The gate menu and gate personnel could not provide an accurate time. I called customer service

And thru India was told that the flight was going to take off at 8:40am, it was already 9:30am

When I called!!! These people sadly don’t know how to run an airline. We finally entered the tunnel at 11am, and

Walked down the stairs outside to what I thought was a waiting aircraft. IT WAS A BUS!!! We all rode a bus to the middle of another

Part of runway, and boarded an aircraft. We were finally in the air around 12.

Now my return back to JFK from Richmond was on 7/23/2006 – We entered the airport at 4pm for a 6pm flight.

At 6:01pm they updated the menu board at the gate stating 6:40pm. Then at 6:40 I call customer service (INDIA AGAIN).

They told me the plane would take off at 6pm… I AGAIN told the person it is now 6:40pm. Again the plane took off over 2 hours late.

There are NO PROVISIONS made for the customer. No Food, No Drinks, No Coloring Books or playing cards or puzzles for young children.

We get on the plane finally at 8.15pm. We are held at the gate with the doors open and are told by the pilot the plane can’t take off

Because we are awaiting a delivery of Sand. We finally land in NY around 10pm. We wait for the bags until 11pm. We are then

Told that they are coming out on another carousel. They never come out on that carousel, then we are told they were flown to another airport.

It is now MIDNIGHT, and we are told to go home and the bags would be delivered by 7am.. 7am comes and goes. No bags.

AT 5pm we are told they are in the airport an will be delivered in an 2 or 3 hours. Around 2am my bags are placed in my

BACKYARD by a stranger. Around 4am, my sprinklers go on and totally soak my bags and belongings. At no time

Has Delta offered to rectify this situation? Stay away from this airline, they are trouble!!
