Home Depot rebate gift card

I have had the same problem that everyone else is stating about Home Depot rebate program. I purchase a stainless steel grill with a $25 gift card and a Pressure Washer with a $25 gift card. Together the items were over $700. This was May 27, 2006. in Sylacauga, Alabama. I mailed in my duplicate receipt and filled out the gift card form (made a copy before I mailed it). I got an emaill telling me that they can not give me the gift cards because I did not send the receipt. Well the receipt happen to be stapled (by the Home Depot sales clerk) to the gift card form. I replied to the email staying that must be how Home Depot stays in business by advertising rebate gift cards and then cheating their customers out of them. Of course I did not get a response. The number I got from the local Home Depot store to check on the gift card, the number says it is not in service. 1-866-805-7328. When I have the local store call the number they say they do not know why it is not is service, other words, you just sol.

I had the same problem with Home Depot and the Gift Card crap. I bought a washer and dryer from them for a total of $1,640 and was entitled to a $100 gift card. I faxed copies of my invoice three times to their rebate office and never received anything. I kept calling and they kept telling me I didn't buy enough stuff and I only bought $1.64 worth of stuff. Still fighting them and going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.
