Cox Communications Customer Service for Kudzu.com

What Customer Service?

After receiving some degree of success with the customer testimonials posted to the Kudzu.com public website we decided in March of 2006 to sign up for display advertising for our carpet cleaning business in their spring cleaning guide.

On March 24, 2006 someone posted a false and defamatory posting accusing our company of overcharging and over wetting their carpets.

On March 29, 2006 we contacted Kudzu to bring this to their attention. We were told that someone would get back to us and address the problem. After waiting several weeks and making several attempts to make contact with someone in the Kudzu customer service and months later with no response we finally contacted someone in upper management.

We were contacted by the director. Before we even begin to discuss the issue of the defamatory posting this executive wanted us to acknowledge that we had received statements for the display advertising. I was a little put off at her demeanor but I explained to her why the statements had not been paid. After what we thought would be an investigation and removal of the defamatory posting they decided they would leave it and stated that they didn’t feel as though it has caused any injury to our business.

We have made every attempt to show these people why it was defamatory and why it should be removed as stated in the following.

1. We offer a full 100% guarantee. “You don’t like the job you don’t pay”

2. We use truck mounted hot water extraction machinery that pulls the moisture out of the carpets leaving them damp, never wet. This would create a mildew problem if left in a damp condition.

3. Advance drying techniques are used to accelerate the drying of the carpets at the end of the cleaning process.

4. Our technicians are certified by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC) and thoroughly trained in the proper use of cleaning with the proper machinery and chemistry.

Our process is simple if you don’t like the service you don’t pay for it. We have found through our years in business that it is much easier to give away a carpet cleaning job than to suffer a bad reputation from a dissatisfied customer. With so much misinformation out there we make every effort to educate and inform our customer about the proper methods of cleaning their carpets and upholstery.

In this situation our requests to remove the bad review has fell on deaf ears or a corporation that is so large they could care less about the reputation of a small business.

We feel they have breached their contractual relationship with us by allowing continuous posting of this false and misleading statement and have continued to post this statement on a public website. For this very reason we have withheld payment for any service that we have received from Kudzu.com a Cox Communications Company.

Please contact me if you have any questions or need additional information.
