Dirito Brothers Concord Volkswagen Dealership

Complaint:

On July 28, 2005 we purchased a used car from Dirito Brothers Concord VW 1051 Burnett Ave. We paid $125.00 for License Fees (as stated on the contract-DEAL 53059). The Sales Director, Chris Ramey, indicated they will complete the transfer process and we should expect to see the plates within a few months. "But please give DMV some time as they are behind," said Chris. As of today Jan. 4, 2006 we have yet to receive the license plates from DMV.

I contacted DMV and they indicated the dealer should have given us the used plates, as they stay with the automobile. DMV advised me to go to the dealer and get the plates from them.

I went Dirito Brothers and talked with Michael Kelly. They did not have the plates. Michael said I do not know why Chris did not give you the plates. I told Michael I wanted the $125 back as they failed to give us the plates and complete the transfer process. Michael said the fees are for August 2005 and are good till August 2006. Those fees I paid for when DMV (upon receiving the transfer request) billed me. Those fees are for the privilege of the vehicle to operate on California highways.

Since Dirito Brothers did not have the plates, my wife stood in line at DMV and paid additional $17 for the plates to be reissued.
