complaint On Wednesday, January 25 2006, a representative of Chem-dry, specifically Air Fresh Chem-Dry of Riverside California, visited the house of C., at her request. He tried to convince her to buy a more expensive package - $600 dollars worth of cleaning, and she politely refused. The cleaner, whose name Chem-Dry will only tell us was Eric, became verbally abusive, spat his gum on her rug, spat again on a downstairs carpet, and shouted obsenities at C. She had to physically push him out the door fearing for her safety. Carla is eight and one half months pregnant and was alone in the house. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and have contacted both the franchise owner and the parent company (Harris Research). I am speaking to an attorney, to determine if this meets the legal definition of an assault. This is an example of the most unacceptable and egregious breaches of trust between a consumer and a service that is granted access to one's private residence. I have asked for a letter of apology, and the immediate termination of this employee, but have yet to receive a reply from Air Fresh Chem-Dry of Riverside.
