SBC /telephone

SBC /telephone I bought my parents' house in Connecticut in December of 2005. I called SBC to change the service and have been totally disappointed with the telephone customer service. I asked if there would be a charge for my parents taking their number with them. I was told 'no', but we were both charged $65 on our first statements for 'new service'. When i called to inquire about that the woman said there was nothing she could do and that it would be 'investigated'. I requested that the phone numbers not be changed until after the new year. The number was changed the very next day, unbeknownst to us, so anyone calling was calling a vacant house. Fantastic, especially around the holidays. The guy I spoke with said my parents would get a free phone. I asked if it would be white because my mom didn't want a black phone. He said it would be 'off-white'. They got a black phone. Then my new number was only recently taken out of someone else's name. So everyday I get a phonecall for these other people. Sometimes twice a day. Sometimes the person calling will just yell into the phone and hang up. I'm not impressed.
You'd think SBC would have better customer service. But when they can't answer simple questions or have you change service to something not remotely in your best interest you remember- they are a business out to make money and annoy people. So unfortunate for customers. From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Monday, 30-Jan-06 20:22:44 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
