Sony 42" LCD Proj TV Purchase at Store#0184 REX TV Store (Lee Highway, Chattanooga TN)

I have purchased a Brand New 42" Sony LCD proj Tv at this store on 17th Dec and they told me that they would deliver the TV on 22nd Dec.

Today they brought the TV with out box. I bought a brand new not a DISPLAY item.

Then I spoke to store manager, He said " The box got damaged when they are bringing from warehouse, Anyhow we need to open it and check whether the TV is in good shape or not". I told him "You have to bring in the box to my home and open it inform of me". He said, "That’s waste of time, so we opened it and checked the TV. ". I said " I don’t want this TV, please send me another one". He said I have to wait till next truck, which will come sometime in next week. He is not sure when will it come. Then he said, "If you want I can send the box separately". I said " I don’t have trust on you, Please cancel the order". He said you have to come to the store. I will go to store this evening and cancel it. I never saw such kind of manager.

Two of my friends bought TV's from REX at Hwy 153 Chattanooga TN store and they gave good feedback. After all my research on my TV and I bought the TV at 6500 LEE HIGHWAY REX, Chattanooga TN. The manager at REX was hopeless and careless. I never heard any store delivers a TV with out box or checking the TV at their store and send it to home, until unless its a DISPLAY or OPEN BOX item. I was eagerly waiting for the TV and have plans for Xmas. I invited my friends from Bloomington IL and I am very much DISAPPOINTED with this kind of service. The REX store at Lee Highway really sucks.

I just wanted to report it to the REX corporate office and I am going to complain at BBB also. I don’t want others also face the same problem.
