Ryan & Reed / collections I was on vacation for 4 days just after Christmas. While I was away I received 8 phone messages from a Mr. Roberts. At first he was asking for a "Tera Fischer". When I moved 3 1/2 years ago I was issued a new phone number. Apparently Tera Fischer was the person who had the number before it was issued to me. Also it seems that Tera Fischer is being sought by collection agencies and is still giving out my phone number. When I got back from my vacation I began listening to the many messages left while I was gone. Eight of them were from this Mr. Roberts and after the third one they began to get nastier and nastier, to the point where he was screaming on my phone for her to answer his calls. You would think that a collection agency would run into the situation where a phone number had been re-issued fairly often and not leave harrassing phone messages on a number that may not even be current. The outgoing message on my phone clearly states that you have reached Dave at this number. When I called back to resolve this situation I was treated extremely rude by every single person I talked to at Ryan & Reed. It took me 3 calls just to find out the name of the company. Most of the people I talked to would not give out the company name. I was very careful to remain calm throughout the conversations simply asking to speak to a supervisor about the problem. The only name I managed to get from them was from Mike Thompson who started out calm but immediately began screaming when I tried to explain the situation, saying that he didn't have the time for this and just because my phone message didn't mention Tera's name didn't mean she didn''t live here. He was there by justifying the harassing calls to my phone. If I can find some way to sue these creeps for harrassment I will do that in a heartbeat. D Z I was to stop calling them _____ Yahoo!
