Sears,Gift cards

My complaint is with Sears and the usage of their gift cards, it seems that the cards are for store purchases only and not for the overall purchase of sears line products. My involved ordering accessories from the tool catalog and finding out I can not use the gift card to pay for them. Yet when I went to the retail store they could not order the accessories from the catalog as the same number used in the catalog and store would not go through there computer. The service centers are not set up to scan the cards I was informed at one. When I returned and ask for my money back they told me they will not refund on a gift card. It seems funny that the card has a account number on it when it is scanned to activate it tells the amount of card yet they can not can and cancel out the account and surrender back the customer the money spent on the card. I contacted Sears and was informed that this will change in June of 06 but what does one do until then. I have talked to others about this and it is not a small problem it seems Sears has taken in a large revenue and the consumers are the ones who lose out
