COMPLAINT:
January 17, 2006 To whomever might read this complaint regarding Blue Haven Pools of West Palm Beach, please please do yourself a humongous favor, heed this warning and find yourself a different pool company. I am now in my TENTH month of pool construction with no end in sight and an appalling history of customer service! This company goes on record as the most deceptive and fraudulent company I've had the unfortunate luck to hire in the past 30 years.
Firstly, the salesperson begins by lying to customers telling them their pools will be built in five months. They say "five months sign to swim." When five months had passed for me, I had not one piece of tile installed, no patio installed, no electric, no plumbing, no diamond-brite finish ---- basically the pool was, and still is, a concrete shell.
Once my tile installation finally began at the end of my sixth month of construction, it took the tile subcontractor THREE months to finish my tile and coping. Three months. For one pool. And up until last week, there were still not enough "hand-holds" to meet Palm Beach County code, and certain shoddy areas of tile work were still needing to be reinstalled.
Work then stopped for a complete month until my pavers were delivered. All the while, being promised by the scheduler that the workmen were coming. Then another month to install my patio, which their subcontractors graded toward my house instead of away in certain areas, causing water to puddle up against my house. Another month then waiting for the plumbing, another for the electrical, all the while calling the job foreman, the office manager, the work scheduler, anybody who I could get on the phone, and being consistently lied to and/or begin transferred immediately to voicemail.
As of today, I am waiting for my third Palm Beach County electrical inspection which has already failed twice due to my heater being installed on its concrete pad incorrectly and against county code.
I pray that someone does a Google search on Blue Haven Pools of West Palm Beach and comes across this consumer warning. Please make the decision to choose a different pool company.
Best of luck, M.M.
