Dell financial

This is what happens when a company like Dell outsources their call centers to foreign countries.

My mother opened an account with Dell to purchase a home computer. She also uses the account for family gifts.

My brother who lives in another state had a serious medical problem. It came up suddenly. My mother went to stay with him for a while to help.

The account had been opened for two years without one missed payment. When she went to stay with my brother I told her I would take care of her bills. Unfortunately I missed the Dell bill(lots of mail and not my house).

My daughter was staying at my mothers house to take care of her animals. Dell started to call daily sometimes 5 or 6 times daily. I didn't find out about it tunill it had gone on for a few days. My daughter did not understand the possible implcations of this type of calling. I thought it might be an account I didn't know about. I called the number on caller ID, it was Dell, I explained the situation. It happens I had sent the payment just the day before (wasn't even one month overdue yet).

Since I was taking care of my mothers bills I had talked with a few of her creditors, everyone of which was understanding and did not have problems with me sending payments and talking with me about the accounts.

Dell however, even after I explained the situation, refused to talk with me and continued their abusive calling campaign that started every day at 7am even including Sundays. It wasn't too hard to understand why my daughter had become mad.

I had to ask my mother to call Dell and explain the situation herself. I didn't want to because she had enough on her mind. When she called dell they pretty much called her a liar. This is on an account that was 2 years old without a single missed or late payment. The calls continued.

But in the end the jokes on dell. I am an IT professional that makes hardware and software recommendations for large companies. Dell is now at the bottom of my list. I'm recommending IBM to all my clients.

Already dell has lost an order for 2,250 workstations. The same company is also going with IBM for servers.

Dell needs to learn to treat their customers with respect.
