Thanks for the heads up with your post on complaints.com!!

CIC has been taking 2 deductions of $9.95 each every month for a year without my realizing it. I just happened to look at my checking account statements when it came to my attention. I came across your site as I started to investigate these deductions and then called their number to cancel. they canceled one account but not the other. I'm assuming the other deduction is my husbands account, and I will have to check with him on that. they did everything in their power to prevent me from canceling by giving me all kind of offers and harassing me by telling me the about the dangers I will be in by canceling.

This business offers no service and seems to be in business solely to take your money and when you catch it on your credit card statement they tell you that you need to call within the thirty day period which was never clear and it is not their policy to refund. In other words they are in business to collect money from you for no service and keep it.

They are hard to reach by phone and when you do they keep putting you on hold and when you demand to speak to a supervisor they hook you up to an echo chamber to feed back your own voice and annoy you. Their phone number is 1-800-220-2626, so be warned if this number and the name, CIC Credit Monitoring Service ever comes up on your credit card statement.

I am going to contact the California State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau as this is the State they claim to be based and look into a class action suit to find out who else they have ripped off in the guise of offering credit help or information.

Criminals like CIC Credit Monitoring should not be in any position to have information about anyone's credit. If anyone reading this has had something like this happen to them and know of any law suits against CIC or any legal action on going that can be enjoyened please feel free to contact me.
