Re: Peachtree door hardware Gary,
Like you, I always thought Peachtree was for more repetable than that. It is for sure they know they have a problem or they would have the same great guarantee on the entire product and not exlude parts of it.
Good to know.

I replaced all of the exterior brass hardware on the Peachtree exterior doors in 1998. It too went bad in about three years time. Presently it has deteriorated to the point of required replacement as it is distracting from the presentation and appeal of the home. Take a look at any Peachtree advertisement; the hype is that nothing but the very finest in materials and workmanship is used. “Hardware finishes are not covered by any warranty” is NOT one of the predominant statements in your ads. In fact I have yet to see that statement in and advertisement. Peachtree has a known problem with the quality brass utilized in the very expensive ‘Prado’ line of doors and even more problems with the quality of the application of the protective clear coat that obviously does not do the job for which it was intended. Wouldn’t it make sense that a company using the finest of anything would warranty it? That aside, giving the customer some assistance in replacing or at least restoring the product would give a little credence to ‘Customer Service.’

We are sorry but have no information on refinishing the brass plated handles.
Hardware finishes are not covered by any warranty.
