Empire Carpets, Chicago I scheduled an appt. for an in home estimate on window treatments. I was told they had an opening for the very next day ( Feb. 8, 2006) with a 2 hour window of 11:00-1:00. I had several appts. that would need to be moved, but I did so to accommodate Empire. I waited at home, since I was told the decision maker needed to be there, and no one showed up! I called Customer Service who told me that she had no idea where "Steve" was, he wasn't answering his phone. She then asked me if I needed to be back at work. I, unlike "Steve" do need to be at work, when I say I'll be there. I told her to just cancel the appt., but when I returned to my office, I sent an email to Customer Service to let them know how they're employees blow off their customers, but I haven't heard back from anyone. Listen everyone, I've dealt with others and while they don't "promise" next day installation, they also don't just lie about it. I'm disappointed, but there's alot of places that will do a professional job and not treat me like crap. I had a great experience with "Gotcha Covered Blinds" but was silly and wanted to see if I could save a few bucks. The joke's on me!
