Earthlink email nightmares

I have to tell you, I expected to see this site inundated with complaints about Earthlink email servers and their (lack of) performance.

For the last two months, we have experienced serious emai latency issues with Earthlink. We’re talking up to 3 days at the worst and common instances of 4-6 hours.

Calls to support (all the way up the line to the Executive Relations Department) don’t produce anything except claims of new equipment “being” or “to be” installed shortly. Then, they claim that the installation of the new equipment isn’t guaranteed to resolve the problems they ADMIT are widespread and are caused by their servers (they can’t deny it – looking at the Header information for each email shows the lag time from Receiving server to Receiving server).

Who are the competitors that offer the promised services – web hosting and email?
