Blue Cross Blue Shield $5000 deductible medical insurance will not pay Blue Cross and Blue Shield $5000 medical insurance policy will not pay. Now I am trying to cancel the policy but they are pretending they don't get it, hoping to keep billing me for coverage. Please help somebody. But, you have to pay $5,000 of your bills BEFORE BCBS will pay anything. That's why it's called a deductible. Just like car insurance.
