Hunter's Ridge Apartments, St. Louis, MO Name of Apartments: Hunter's Ridge Apartments located in St. Louis, MO and owned by Ledic Management Complaint: I rented an apartment from Hunter's Ridge Apartments in St. Louis starting in July '05. Immediately, there was a noise problem with the neighbors and an illegially owned dog. I complained to managment on several occasions but nothing was done. Several things needed to be fixed in the apartment including the dish washer, the heat, a broken window, and a toilet, but nothing was ever done about it. Fed up with my service, I opted to break the lease 4 months later and was told that I would be responsible for $1800 of fees that were not explained. After I confronted management about it, they lowered it to $1400 and said I would also be responsible for rent AND UTILITIES for every additional month until the end of my original lease or until the apartment was rented out. They also continued charging me for a rented washer and dryer even though I didn't live there anymore. They sent me about $1100 in additional charges a month later also with little to no explanation and threatened to send me to a collections agency if I did not pay. I then payed that. Finally they sent me a bill (this is now 4 months after I broke the lease) saying I owed ANOTHER $1100 in fees and that the apartment was rented. Being that I had already payed almost $3000 in fees, I was unable to pay immediately. There was no due date listed on the bill but after a week I was contacted by a collections agency saying I had refused to pay. I payed over $4000 in fees and was sent to a collections agency for breaking the lease of a place because of absolutely terrible service. I just want to warn anyone about this abismal company and their practices. Thank you.
