In Jan. of 2006 I bought a leather handbag there and within one week the screws which held the shoulder strap onto the bag had fallen out so that the purse was not able to be used.

I asked the sales clerk for the bag to be repaired by replacing the screws, as I knew the store's policy was one of no returns or refunds.

The sales clerk, who was always working alone, contacted the owner who told her that he would come and check out the problem.

Each week for a month I returned to the store as told, until the owner, on one of his visits, finally looked at the bag and said that nothing would be done about the problem.

When I collected my purse from the shop the sales clerk contacted the owner by phone so that I could speak with him. He hung up on me immediately and turned his cell phone off so that the clerk could not reach him again while I was still in the shop.
