I was sent an email from an "internet Sales person" I am embedding this information for all to see:

I wanted to give you a list of the Accent Gls rebates as we

have listed in the Ad.

Current List:          

$15,945.00

Colonials Dealer Discount      $3,535.00

Hyundai Rebate:     $1,900.00

Cash or Trade: $3,500

At this Time Only Hyundai of Downingtown will Double the Rebate up to

$5,000.00 and they will double the warranty. This is based on I do

believe 72 months.

Please arrange to visit before the end of the week.

Once I arrived at the dealership, I was told that Diane was not available and that another salesperson would "handle" my inquiry. the salesman went through his normal steps of showing me the vehicle. I provided him with the copy of the email above. His exact words were, "...she made a mistake. There is no way that you are going to get a vehicle with these offer." I stood up to leave , I didn't but I should have, and the salesman Mr. Infante, assured me that he would go talk to Ms. McNeil to "...straighten it out". He cam back and stated that he spoke with her and then spoke with his sales manager who "allowed" him to make me a counter offer which I refused. The best part of this fiasco was when I noted that the vehicle was listed for $15,945 and he told me that the dealership placed a smaller sticker price on the vehicle that added $3000 dollars more to the price. He then advised me that the only rebate I could get was the college grad rebate and he didn't even double that!! It was a classic bait and switch fraud!!!!!!

I am filing a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office. I encourage anyone else who went through this to do the same.
