Time Warner Cable

Administrator:

I am a recent customer who resides in Cincinnati Ohio. I signed up for your bundled service in September or October of 2005. I have cable, phone and high speed computer. I first signed up for the cable and when the installer came to hook up my service he sold me the phone and online service. He stated that AOL would be at no charge because AOL and Time Warner had merged, quoted me an introductory price that would run for three months, gave me an monthly rate for after the introductory offer and an installation date.

After that the first phone and high speed computer installer said he was not able to set up my system because of some mistake with the way the order was written up and when I called I was told the monthly payment would be different. I was forced to take off another 1/2 day from work. After the second mistake was made regarding installation and I had to take another 1/2 day off from work a supervisor John Craig (I believe I left the file at home) got involved. He arranged for installers to meet me after work. He also (he said) got a rate specialist in your organization to go over the rate with him. He quoted me a monthly rate and assured me that after the introductory offer was up that it would not change for at least one year. The rate for the entire bundle was $137.00 per month. He gave me some credits for all of the problems with installation, gave me his personal cell phone number and grauenteed me that there would be no more problems and if there were I could reach him. Well in a conversation with your customer service on 2/17 I was informed that my monthly rate is now $198.00.

I can not express to you how angry I am. I have every word of the quote that was given to me written down along with the Supervisor's name and phone number. I am told that he did not make any notes in the file so no one there has to honor the word of your company. I called him and he has not returned the call. I was told that Time Warner would switch my AOL account - also not true - I have been charged every month separately for AOL and when I pointed this out to my credit card my AOL has been disconnected. I convinced my Sister and another friend to sign up with your company because of the promises that were made to me. I am disappointed and just plain MAD! It seems that Time Warner is willing to tell customers anything when signing them up but you do not intend to honor your word. All of this is made easier since nothing comes in writing. Your word is not a bond just a hook. If I do not hear from you I will be contacting any customer service help group that I can find, and the local television On Your Side program as well. I am only asking to be treated fairly not taken advantage of. I have lost my previous service with the deals that I made for myself to go with your company who lied to me.
