RE: my 2004 Mazda 6 S Sport

Recently after purchasing this car I had problems with excessive brake dust. I was told that it was normal with this new model. Then the brakes started squealing when turning. I took my car in to D.Dahle Mazda and they did an upgrade on the brakes, part of a recall replacing rotors, calipers, shoes etc… A few months went by and they started to squeal again. During this time I was also having repeated problems of my car trying to drive off on its own. I would be sitting at a stop light and the car would lunge and try to drive off by itself. At first I thought I had been rear ended but it was not the case at all. I have had my car serviced for this problem a number of times and have proof of hard shifting and lunging in the transmission service records. They have not been able to get the car to duplicate the problem and have done tests on the transmission resulting in it never being fixed. They have reset the code on the transmission 3 times but it still tries to drive off on its own. While going down the freeway or just driving the RPM’s on the tach will climb and then the transmission will clang. I have had it serviced for this problem. Each time it has been in the service department they have not been able to duplicate these problems. I have 10 witnesses that have been in the car when it does this and the service department does not believe me. I am afraid this car is going to drive off with out me and cause an accident. I have informed them of this but they still can’t fix it. The next biggest problem I have had is the engine making a loud tapping noise. This started out quietly then overtime got worse. After fighting with D.Dahle Mazda about this they would claim it was a normal noise. After comparing it to other Mazda 6’s alike they still claimed it was a normal noise. I finally got mad and got a second opinion on this loud tapping noise. I took my car to legacy Mazda in Provo. The minute I described the loud tapping noise, the service manager knew exactly what was wrong with it. He fixed it… He told me that over time it would get loud again and would have to perform another m-tip as needed. This cannot be permanently fixed. I then took my car back to D.Dahle Mazda to inform them that it had gotten fixed temporarily. I got in a fight with Ann the service manager there and she Stated” she was embarrassed about her misdiagnosis all this time” I said “yah I would be too!” I no longer take my car there to be serviced to say the least. However the brakes began squealing again and I made Mazda Corporation pay for another set of rotors and calipers and shoes. That was October 2005. Today January 23rd 2006 my car’s brakes are squealing again and shaking coming to a stop. The whole car shakes. The transmission still tries to drive off without me, and my engine is making the loud noise again. I was waiting for Mazda corporate offices to send an arbitrator out to check out my car. Patiently waiting for 2 months while my car ran like crap it decided to drive off on its own with me. I got it stopped
