Bad Experience with EBAY Drop Store

Last September I brought a Thorens (stereo) turntable to “Box.It.Up” in Park Ridge, NJ to sell an ebay. After the auction, the highest bidder gave a price of $535 that would have given me over $320 after commissions and fees. The purchaser must have gotten “cold feet” since he returned it with the statement that it wasn’t working. The unit was brought back and turned out to be functioning perfectly after I unpacked the unit, re-assembled it and re-adjusted some settings.


 


The item was re-listed and brought a price of $300 late in November. Unfortunately, the turntable was damaged in shipment. Box.It.Up told me that a claim for the damages has been filed. However, every time I contact them, I’m told that things are still pending.


 


The main reason I used Box.It.Up was to save me the work and stress of listing and packing the turntable. I think they “dropped the ball.” and did not pack the item correctly either time. Due to no fault of mine, I now have neither payment nor the item.


 


Any suggestions?
